I designed “The Perfect Present Pillow” to give as a wedding gift for the daughter of good friends. After checking out her bridal registry at a couple of popular stores, I was able to get a sense of her style and favorite colors. I had the perfect yarn on hand to make a pillow for their new home.

You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, bind off stitches, sew up simple seams and weave in ends.

Pattern includes step-by-step finishing instructions with close-up photos.

This pattern is written in standard U.S. knitting terms.

SUPPLIES: I used two colors for this pillow - Lion Brand Wool-Ease “Thick & Quick” in the color ‘Glacier’ for the front and Loops & Threads “Cozy Wool” in the color ‘Fleece’ for the back. The pattern will work with many super bulky yarns and may be knit all in one color or two colors.

I used a standard (inexpensive!) 14” x 14” pillow form. The finished pillow is slightly larger with the knitted cover.
