This pattern is for a heavy winter hat. It is a slouch style hat worked in the waist coat stitch. I have included pictures and clear written instructions on how to perform the stitches used. Anyone who might not be comfortable working Front Post Double Crochets might find this pattern an easy start to learn them. If you would like to make the hat bigger just up your hook size. I classify this pattern as a beginner to intermediate.

3 Silver beads 8mm opening
C Hook (optional, I used this to thread my yarn through my beads)
