The Snow Maiden is a triangle-shaped lace shawl knitted from the top down. The shawl is decorated with beads, lacing, and embroidery (optional). The beads are added by applying them on the go. Placing beads as you knit uses a crochet hook, and there is no need to thread any beads before you start knitting. Both embroidery and lacing are made after the shawl is finished and blocked.

YARN USED: Pehorka Elite Yarn (100% merino wool; 415 m 454 yds per 50 g). The sample shown used 86 grams of yarn.

The gauge is not critical for this project, although finished size and yardage may vary on yarn weight, needle size, and your individual knitting style.
