This is inspired by the Snowman in the book by Raymond Briggs.

I made two versions - one with 2-ply yarn and a size 4 steel hook, and one with 4-ply yarn and a size F aluminum hook. The smaller snowman is about 8 inches tall, the larger 12 inches.

It only requires 2 yarn colors - white and dark green. I used buttons and a bead for the eyes, nose and buttons, but they can also be embroidered, using small amounts of orange and black yarn.
