The Wicker Socks
This pattern is inspired by the cult British horror film The Wicker Man (1973), starring Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward. A wickerwork pattern on the foot and ankle morphs into flames representing Officer Howie’s grisly end on the leg. Or think of it as a willow leaf pattern (for the landlord’s daughter) if that is too gruesome for you!
This is a toe-up design with a heel flap, and written instructions and charts are included for the patterning.
