TIDES
This pattern will be free until February 14th, 2016 ( <3 my Valentine’s gift to you <3 ). After that it will be $2.99.
The cowl is knitted in the round, much like a tube, and then the first and last rows are joined in Kitchener Stitch (video tutorial provided). The two colors are used in equal amounts, “washing” into each other, much like a tide.
Easy instructions are provided to change the length to your preference while at the same time keeping the balance between the two colors.
Additional tips are provided if you are substituting the yarn with a yarn of different gauge.
You will need equal amounts of two color yarns. I have used the Lana Grossa Lace Lux for its beautiful sheen and drape, but you can use any yarn, although I prefer lace or fingering yarn for this pattern.
This pattern is written for the beginner to intermediate knitter. You will use the provisional cast-on and learn
- how to knit in the round
- how to knit jog-less stripes
- how to graft a tube into a circle using the Kitchener Stitch
