This little onesie was the first thing we put on our daughter after she was born; I was determined to create a piece of clothing made of a nice and soft material that would keep her newborn body warm and comfortable.

A onesie that wraps around the baby is practical and simple; the perfect piece of clothing for a newborn. Use a lovely silk/alpaca blend for a summer baby and a warmer merino or alpaca for a winter baby.

What could possibly be better for your baby than getting wrapped up in a lovely hand knit onesie for the first few hours and days of life??

Use a lovely silk/alpaca blend for the summer baby and a warmer merino or alpaca for the winter baby. Along with a pair of warm socks and a hat, this is all the baby needs those first few days.

This is a completely new and revised pattern. I have added new sizes and the pattern is now sized from premature up to 24 months.
The pattern includes a new chart that covers the entire front and back panels. It has clear instructions including photos to help you knit this beautiful onesie.

Note however this is not a pattern for the faint of heart, it requires intermediate knitting skills and a clear head. There are a lot of details in this pattern and being knit all in one piece saves you the trouble of seaming but it can be a bit tricky get the started with.

The pattern is knit top down using ragland increase and the sleeves are knit on double pointed needles.

When purchasing the pattern you will receive a link to the pattern in English and Norwegian you will chose which one you want to download. Both languages are included in your purchase.
