This is a pattern for a pair of cabled socks inspired by Toast’s hand knitted socks which feature in their collection every winter. At the time I first saw these socks I didn’t knit, and they were so expensive (£50) I couldn’t imagine owning a pair. So, I decided to learn to knit so I could make them myself. I did that, and now I wonder how anyone can afford to sell a pair of hand knitted socks for £50! Anyway, that first pair now has holes in the heels, as I wore them to death, and on knitting them again, I thought I would write a pattern to share.
