Necessity was the mother of this pattern invention. My daughter loves to be involved in everything I am doing, so I devised a way for her to sew with me. She started using it at about 18 months old. Now at three, she is incorporating it with other fabrics and using it in new creative ways. I think this knitted fabric was easier for her to pierce with the needle then other fabrics would have been.
