3.0 mm 40 cm circular needles
3.5 mm 40 cm circular needles, and longer circular needles or DPNs, as preferred for working small circumferences in the round.

Tension
25.5 sts and 27 rows over 10 cm / 4 in, in stranded colourwork using larger needles, after blocking.

Yarn
It is recommended that you use a 100% wool, non-superwash DK yarn in five colours.
