This elongated triangular scarf is knit from the back neck down to the hem. It is shaped through the use of yarn-over and knit-into-front-and-back increases, and features simple multicolored striped sections.

You will need approximately 50 g of 7 different colors of sock-weight yarn to complete pattern as written. Note that this pattern is presented in written form; there are no charts.

Inspiration: The Santa Fe Trail was one of the three major Western trading and travel routes, along with the Oregon and Chisholm Trails. Between 1821 and 1880, the Santa Fe Trail became a commercial highway connecting Missouri and points on the Mississippi River with Santa Fe. As the hub for stagecoach travel as well as gold seekers and adventurers, Santa Fe became an important stopover point for anyone heading
west to California, north to the Pacific Northwest, or south to Mexico.
