Width is approx 9cm & length 57cm but this will depend on head size and type of yarn used. Some yarns are far more elastic than others and it depends on whether you want a tighter or looser fit. I did not want a super tight fit. Buttonhole is optional, as the large needles used mean there is room enough to push a button through between stitches.
