Tumbleweed is an asymmetrical sweater-vest inspired by the classic cabled Aran, but features less conventional cables and a rogue flair. It is worked seamlessly from the bottom-up and includes waist shaping for a more flattering fit. Pattern is sized from 28” / 71 cm bust to 58” / 147 bust, with sizing increments as appropriate.

Pattern Difficulty: Intermediate. Pattern uses cable knitting, increases and decreases, and grafting using Kitchener Stitch.

Needles: US 8 (5mm) and US 7 (4.5 mm) 36” or longer circular, or size to achieve gauge, plus Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) or longer circular(s) for 2-Circular or Magic Loop method for armholes, in same sizes.

Gauge: 18 stitches by 24 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in Cable A pattern after blocking. Take time to check gauge.
