Tunisian Wingspan
ABCDesigns is a new collaboration between Amy Depew and Beth Graham, http://www.ravelry.com/people/zagraham. Our goal is to “translate” some of the most magnificent free knitting patterns into our favorite medium: Tunisian crochet. Welcome to our first offering!
The knitted Wingspan (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wingspan-2) by Maylin (http://www.ravelry.com/designers/maylin-tricoterie-designs) is absolutely glorious, and has already inspired a regular crochet version by Carole Marie (http://www.ravelry.com/designers/carole-marie).
Our take on this eye-catching shawl gives the crocheter options on how large to make it, what stitches they would like to use (Amy used trs and Beth used tss), and even what yarn/hook combination they prefer! It’s a bit more of a formula than a direct pattern, giving the crocheter so much more flexibility.
We do hope you enjoy this pattern, and look for more in the future!
August 1, 2012 - pattern now available in German, too! Thank you Manfredovna (http://www.ravelry.com/people/Manfredovna) for the translation.
