Turkish Delight Wrap
I was highly inspired by Lynette Meek’s Victorian Falls(http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/08-sheath-and-wrap) when I started planning this pattern. This beauty which made her first runner up in a Vogue contest just couldn’t be ignored!
Painting such a huge project AFTER finishing the knitting as Lynette did was out of question for me, so I did the coloring with short rows.
The wrap is knitted in one piece sidewise and can therefore be adapted to all sizes easily. This is only essential for the width of the shoulders because the rest is very loose. The sleeves and the lace border are added afterwards.
To achieve the wonderful fall of the garment it seems essential to me to knit at least the contrasting part in Kid Mohair. I used the Kid Mohair from Debby Bliss with 30 percent silk in it. The whole wrap weighs less than 250 grams!
The pattern contains more than 30 pages, there are step by step photos.
