The hat in the photo was knit up in my own handspun wool/mohair blend yarn but i’ve seen people knit this in cotton, wool, even acrylic. As long as you have worsted weight yarn and the correct gauge you can work up a cute hat for you or somebody special.
I embelished the hat in the photo with a knit flower (also my own handspun) but you can ad funky buttons, some embroidery or any thing you’d like.
This pattern is really easy to adjust to fit your own style :)
