Twisted - Headband, Hat, Mitts & Mittens!
This is the pattern that I designed for the Mid Mitten Yarn Shops Shop Hop in 2011. There are lots of options to choose from… make the fingerless mitts and headband for a little less warmth, or the mittens and hat for maximum coverage!
Yarn Notes: The entire set weighs approximately 255 grams, so unfortunately you can’t get all four pieces from one hank of this yarn. However, here are the weights of each individual piece:
Mitts: 50 grams
Mittens: 80 grams
Headband: 40 grams
Hat: 85 grams
Ecological Wool/Eco+ is considered by Cascade to be a bulky weight - however, I worked the yarn at a smaller gauge to achieve a denser fabric. A heavy worsted weight could substitute, just keep in mind that the fabric won’t be as thick/warm. Make a good gauge swatch! ;)
Design Notes: The cable patterns are charted.
The mitts/mittens are written to be worked on 2 circs in the round.
The headband is knit first then stitches picked up for the hat if desired.
