I have found that when I reach in my sock drawer, it’s always the basic, boring, ol’ ribbed socks that I grab time and time again. They fit well and wear well… but they can be so boring to knit! So I created this sock to save myself from boredom. The “twisted spine” was inspired by my husband’s injured back, so these are dedicated to him.

The pattern is written for wide ankles, but the basic pattern could be adapted easily for use in your favorite sock structure.
