This is a quick and simple slipper pattern constructed the way a traditional cuff-down sock is made. It is a perfect pattern for those beginning to learn how to knit socks because it uses actual techniques on a much larger scale for faster knitting and stitches that are easy to see. It is written to help ‘hand hold’ new sock knitters and answer questions as they may come up.

Pattern includes charted versions for each of the heel sizes for new sock knitters to ‘see’ what is going on with each stitch as they turn the heel.

Along with four versatile sizes that can be custom knit to any foot length, the pattern includes directions for a shorter ribbed cuff instead of the longer rolled one for extra variety.

Most knitters can complete a pair “in two movies” time.

Two Movie Slipper Socks take only 120 yards of super bulky yarn for sizes S-L, but if the XL is knit with the rolled cuff additional yarn will be needed. However, the XL with the ribbed cuff can be knit from 120 yards. There are also other options if you do not have super bulky available, including triple stranding worsted yarn, or knitting with a bulky and a worsted strand at the same time.

Links are included to tutorials for techniques such as Wrap & Turn, Kitchener Stitching, and Picking Up Stitches on the heel flap.
