Although this hat is sized 0-3, the intent was to create a prop hat for newborn baby photos. The sizing may be large, if you need to size down, adjust the number of stitches cast on by multiples of 8.

This hat is intended for prop purposes only, or with direct supervision as the tail and pom-pom could wrap around a baby’s neck causing a choking hazard. Do NOT leave a baby unattended while wearing this hat.

The pattern can also be modified to shorten the I-Cord tail to eliminate the choking hazard.
