Just in time for holiday gift-knitting, A Head For Trouble: What To Knit While Catching Crooks, Chasing Clues, and Solving Murders (20 Hats & Adornments Inspired by Lady Detectives of the Roaring Twenties) was released in October, 2014. It is available in both electronic and paperback format both here and on my website: www.julieturjoman.com
Knit something special for your inner flapper!
Verity Browne, a sleuth created by author David Roberts, is a mass of contradictions, and a complex protagonist for a mystery series. She’s a card-carrying Communist journalist with a rich daddy and a British Lord for a love interest. Her radical leanings are tested by the real-life political events that color the background of her 1930s historical mysteries.
This tam, with its densely knit color work band, provides fashionable cover whether dodging bullets or speaking up for the oppressed.
