If you follow this pattern as described, this will be a VERY large hat. It is intended for people with lots of hair or who enjoy extremely large hats.

If you want to make a smaller size, you can try using a lighter yarn weight (eg, worsted instead of bulky), but this pattern was written for a giant hat, so no promises about how that will turn out.
