The above hat is a nice simple pattern and easy to knit, it comes in lacy cell st with a big flower on the front, The sample was made in Bonus Acrylic which is not an expensive yarn and will meet nearly everyones budget can be worn for any occasion and the yarn comes in lots of nice colours. It can be made in less than a 100gm ball of wool and is nice and cosy to wear.
The gauge may vary with different brands of yarn and of course everyone has their own tensions so a swatch is always recommended.
