Simple beanie with a conical shape to portray an erupting volcano with an ice cap and an eruption. The beanie is worked in stocking stitch with a repeated pattern of erupting lava down the volcano flanks. There are even volcanic bombs on the higher parts. The pom pom represents the eruption and uses scrap yarn of appropriate colour. Any ply can be used for the pom pom.
The beanie is worked in one size only, which should fit most adults.
Materials used are Ashford Tekapo 8 ply.
Four skeins are needed, but the beanie only requires approximately 150 gm, so you can make about 3 beanies if you buy one skein of each colour.
