I love this pattern because it has so much texture. I usually work it with two strands at a time, which makes it very thick and rather heavy.

The pattern offers lots of flexibility in size. The number of skeins needed would depend on how large you want the end product to be and whether you are working with 1 or 2 strands. My most recent project was 4’ x 2’10” and required 12 skeins of yarn.
