Careful attention was paid to aligning like colors when new skeins were added. In the back, a large mitered square joining the fronts is worked intarsia-style using a different, simpler pattern stitch for ease of knitting as stitch counts change, and also to eliminate the need for continued color patterning.
The shawl is two long legs that are knit separately and then a mitered square is worked across their stitches to join them and complete the wrap.
Skill level: intermediate
Finished size: each leg is approximately 20” x 42” after blocking.
Yarn requirements: 9 colors; 175 yards each
Colors: Terra Cotta (A), Coral Reef (B), Sierra (C), Blue Lagoon (D), Tumbleweed, (E), Nevada (F), Thunderclap (G), Woodlands (H), & Night Music (I)
Pattern found on pages 98-99.
