Inspired by a short-row hat pattern and in desperate need of something not involving cables and complicated counting, I cast on for my own version. This is the result.

I should add that the pattern doesn’t include notes such as “weave in loose ends” - for my own purposes, I crocheted a little loop at the top of the hat after I’d stitched everything up. Do whatever pleases you. Even if it doesn’t involve hiding your loose ends. That’s cool, too.
