The Whimsy Owl Family is fast, fun and easy to make. As coasters, hotpads, table toppers or pure decoration, the collection can add a fanciful touch to your kitchen or brighten someone’s day.

The pattern includes instructions for three sizes (SML), so it’s easy to create a family consisting of Papa, Mama and Baby or produce any combination that appeals to you.

Each cloth is constructed as a reverse mitered garter square, so all versions are quick to make and perfect for knitting on the go.

Make a matched set or use partial skeins and leftovers for a mix-and-match approach. Only one color is worked on a row, so the colorwork couldn’t be easier.

The pattern is written for worsted weight cotton-wool blends, but it adapts to different yarn weights and fiber types. It includes tips, tricks and modifications plus a handy Quick Reference guide to make it easy to customize your set.

The pattern is suitable for any knitter who can cast on, knit, k2tog, kfb, ktbl, slip stitches and bind off.
