This crescent shawl was designed to allow for extra drape and plenty of volume in which to wrap oneself.

The delicate and intricate lace pattern is intuitive, and is easily memorized after a few repeats. The border elaborates on the pattern in the main body of the shawl, with a smooth transition that looks seamless. I wanted the border to grow naturally out of the body of the pattern.

The shawl is crescent shaped, started in the middle. The volume is built up by increasing at the inner edge. No short rows required!

Sizing is adaptable, you choose how big the shawl is going to be by adding more repeats of the body section.

Any yarn from lace to fingering will look good on the shawl. Consequently, needles should be adapted to the yarn used and the degree of lacy effect that you desire to achieve. I personally prefer to knit lace with larger size needles to get it really lacy.

Bardzo delikatny i pozornie zawiły ażur należy do tych, które po paru rzędach zaczyna się dziergać intuicyjnie, a po jeszcze kilku – z pamięci. Bordiura wynika naturalnie z części głównej, przejście jest rozbudowaniem wzoru głównego i wykorzystuje jego elementy.

Wielkość chusty może być dostosowana do preferencji dziewiarki, wystarczy zwiększyć lub zmniejszyć ilość powtórzeń wzoru głównego.

Do zrobienia tej chusty należy użyć dość cienkiej włóczki, 800 - 400m na 100g. Druty należy dobrać do grubości włóczki oraz do wielkości ażuru, jaki się chce uzyskać. Ja osobiście lubię chusty bardzo koronkowe i aby osiągnąć taki efekt dziergam je na grubszych drutach.

Chusta na zdjęciu została wydziergana z Dream Team Lace merino kupionej w e-dziewiarce, poszedł na nią cały motek 100g/600m. Robiłam na drutach 3,5mm, wymiary chusty 200cm x 52cm po zblokowaniu.

El chal tiene forma de media luna, empezado por el medio. El chal crece gracias a los aumentos que se le hacen en los extremos.

El tamaño es adaptable, ya que puedes eligir lo grande que será añadiendo más repeticiones en la parte del cuerpo.
