This pattern contains instructions to make this nice unisex cap at three different sizes.
The stitch used to make it is called “Waistcoat stitch (WST)” that resembles the knit stitch in knitting.
The pattern also includes a detailed photo tutorial that explains step by step how to make the stitch.
This cap, including the brim, is worked in a continuous spiral with No seams, No turning and No cutting the yarn until is finished (unless you want to make some stripes). The final result is thicker than it would be using a normal single crochet. This permits the brim to be stiff and stand by itself.
