This chunky knit headband works up fast and is cozy and warm. The headband can be made with ears or made without the ears. I have included instructions for crocheted ears and knitted ears for those who don’t crochet. The brown and blue headbands in the pictures show the crocheted ears and the white/gray headband has knitted ears.

This headband can be made for babies, toddlers, young children, older children, or adults. The ears are optional for any size.

I used Lion Brand Hometown chunky yarn because it’s soft for little heads but also made these with Wool Ease. Any chunky yarn will work.

Plain headband uses about half a skein of yarn and with the ears it uses about three quarters of the skein.
