I designed this hat when participating to a KAL about Halloween.

MC (orange): Chanteleine 79, approx 130 yds/120 m
CC1 (black): Bergeronnette, approx 153 yds/140 m
CC2 and CC3 (orange): Idéal, approx 16 yds/15 m of each.

2014, April 6 / 3rd edition: the pattern has been entirely rewrited, the layout has been changed.The instructions are for the orange hat only: the green hat in the pattern is only a picture, there is no direction to work it.

Please note that in the first edition (before 2008, November 16th), the first round of the body has to be worked in knit sts and not in purl sts ; you should read “Work 1 round in knit st using black yarn and US 4/3.5 mm circular needle, increasing 16 sts in the round : * k7, yo, k8, yo * around”.

In the second edition (2009, Aug 10th), there is a correction for the shaping : before working one row in black, you have to decrease from 91 sts to 78 sts (see the pattern) -thanks Lani ! The current downloadable file from Ravelry is right.
