Grab your needles and your broomsticks, knitters! It is time for the WITCH’S BREW Mystery COWL Knit-A-Long! This Halloween mystery knit-a-long is designed for any knitter looking to practice stitch witchery. Using a combination of textural stitches and stranded colorwork, knitters will brew up something special for Halloween. So if you are a Stitch Witch or Wizard, then let’s make some Halloween magic! Knitting begins October 1st with one clue a day for 13 days. The final clue will be released on the THIRTEENTH, so you have plenty of time to wear and enjoy your cowl before Halloween. Let’s make a WITCH’S BREW!

SCHEDULE
You will receive one clue a day for 13 days beginning on October 1st and ending on October 13th. That’s 13 CLUES!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • seamless construction
  • stranded colorwork
  • textural stitches
  • slipped stitches
  • video tutorials
  • Halloween knitting fun!

A portion of this cowl will be worked in textural stitches. These sections will be charted and include written instructions. I provide tutorials to help you through the textural stitches. This pattern includes stranded colorwork. In fact, most of this pattern will be worked in stranded colorwork. The stranded colorwork will be charted, but will not include written instructions. All stranded colorwork will be done in the round and you will never need to carry more than 2 strands at once. The Witch’s Brew cowl is intended for intermediate knitters who are comfortable with stranded colorwork.

SIZE
ONE SIZE : Adult

The overall shape & size of this cowl is NOT part of the mystery. This will be a shawl-shaped cowl. This is my absolute favorite shape for knitting a cowl. This shape is wonderfully wearable, and it is PERFECT for working colorwork in the round. If you have never knit one of my shawl-shaped cowls, check out the Haunted House Cowl (last year’s Halloween MKAL cowl)
