This is a slouchy beret and meant to be a loose fit for a medium sized head. Two of the photos show embellishments which you can include but threading rings or even large-holed beads on the yarn before casting on. Simply work out where you wish to place an embellishment and when you reach that spot, manoeuvre the item into place. I used 8 shell rings for the black hat, spacing them on every 6th stitch. For the purple version I used 18 Tibetan silver rings and positioned them on every 8th stitch in 3 rows. I used Artesano super chunky and it took about 1.75 skeins but any natural super chunky yarn should work, provided you get the gauge right.
