The random colors of this yarn add to the illusion of its being woven, but it is actually knitted. Working the slip stitch with the yarn moving frrom front to back creates a texture that mimics a woven fabric. It also allows the scarf to remain perfectly flat. As with most Slip Stich patterns, you will be working on a much larger needle than the yarn might call for and the rows will tend to become compressed.
