Women of the 1940s were lucky -- they wore fashions with interesting details like these almost every day. But if you can crochet, you can also slip into this nostalgic outfit whenever you like. The peplum jacket has a drawstring waist, inset pleats, and rounded lapels. It looks perfect with shorts or trousers. The stripe-and-dot skirt has some fascinating features of its own -- the points marching around the hem are created to be self-pleating.
