Yorkshire Rose Brooch
This pattern is available as a

This pattern is to make a Yorkshire Rose in honour of Yorkshire Day on 1st August.
There is a photo tutorial and a basic written pattern as separate PDFs
Although this is made in double knitting it can be made with any yarn with a suitable crochet hook and this will just change the finished size.
Stitches are in UK terminology.
Stitches used are:
slip stitch and chains
double crochet
half treble
treble
double treble
I prefer to use dk cotton for these items but any smooth yarn would work in white, yellow and green.
To make it into a brooch a safety pin or brooch back is required.
It could become a Tudor Rose if the smaller petals were made in red.
