Your Mileage May Vary
The name comes from the edge trim which is a variation on a vintage pattern called “A mile a minute.” When I found the trim in a vintage book I thought it meant that it worked up very quickly until Kat told me that its the name of a weed similar to bindweed. Its still a very quick trim and pattern to work – but maybe not quite breaking land speed records! It’s also a slight reference to the fact that short row crescents are about the hardest to calculate the yardage for when you are designing them.
