Zigmund
Zigmund is an open-fronted sweater with a generous, flattering collar. The body is worked in the round in Fair-Isle style stranded colorwork. The front and sleeves are then steeked, the shoulders seamed, and both sleeves and collar are picked up and worked out from the body.
The shoulder and back width are key to a good fit with this sweater, due to its open design. Compare the cross back measurement with one of your favorite close fitting set-in sleeve garments and select your size accordingly.
Zigmund is easily customized to your own color choices. I heavily suggest choosing one main color and three to five contrast colors. You will be best pleased with your contrast colors if they all contrast with your main color AND if there is a sense of movement between the contrasts, whether in shade or color. (eg: light to dark or yellow to orange to red). The color work gauge is the ideal time to test drive your color selections.
