Crochet Zipper Pouch Pattern and Photo Tutorial

This listing is for a PDF download and printable pattern. Not the actual item

These little zip-up bags/pouches were super fun to make and are super handy for storing items! Included in this file: Crochet pattern with photos to make these zip up bags, as well as instructions with photos of each step on how to crochet around a zipper.

Materials:
• Worsted weight yarn – You can use any worsted-weight yarn for this project. Here is what I used for my bags:
o Larger bag: Red Heart Soft in Minty, Lilac, Off White, and Strawberry (Red Heart Soft Baby Steps).
o Smaller bag, Caron Simply Soft yarn in Watermelon, Blue Mint, and Light Grape (Red Heart Soft Baby Steps).
• Zipper – I used a 7-inch-long zipper, but you could use any length.
• 3.5mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Optional: To make the holes in the zipper fabric, I used the Fiskars Contour Rotary Cutter with a skip-stitch cutting blade. This is a quick and easy way to cut even holes in fabric to crochet around. The blade I have cuts holes that are ¼ inch apart. As an alternative, you can also achieve this by using a ruler and a pen to make marks on the fabric and then use a blade or a needle to poke the holes through.
