Always on the hunt for fast and simple patterns to use for presents, I found myself stuck when friend after friend started asking for hand and arm warmers to help keep them comfy and cozy during our cold Midwestern winters. And so, I decided to come up with my own patterns!
What I came up with are six unique patterns, each one matching the personality of the friend I was making them for (or the level of warmth needed!). You’ll find everything from a classic hand/arm warmer to a super sassy addition to any funky girl’s outfit in this booklet!
Each pattern will list materials, skill level, and more, but as many of the patterns have similarities here’s a few basic notes to get you started:
** Each pattern uses worsted weight yarn, so you’ll be able to whip through any of thes mitts rather fast!
** I use DPNs on almost every pattern, but I hear tell of a great thing called “the magic loop”, which would easily translate into any of these patterns.
** I’ve sized each mitt on a S, M, L scale – generally speaking, most of these will fit an average-sized gal at a size M, but because I’ve got chicken arms I wanted to make sure there was a size for me, too!
These mitts are made with 100% wool yarns, perfect for maximum warmth in a small package. Feel free to substitute any yarns, however, that match up to the gauge of the yarns given for each pattern.
