It’s hard to attribute this pattern to one source. The wonderful heart square was integral to the pattern, but I made the Hello Kitty motif with the help of two or three patterns on the web and the heartlike border from another website. It was fun to just improvise as I went along, starting with the Hello Kitty center and working outward. My own main criticism of the finished piece is that the eyes and nose are too large; I didn’t want to purchase finer yarn or thread to make them smaller. Pink yarn is Lion Brand Pound of Love; other colors are stash yarn.
