Notes

Navy part

  • I used Judy’s Magic Cast On with 3.25mm needles

  • For my 55cm head circumference I worked 41cm (and not 50cm as told in the pattern) with 5mm needles, slipping the last stitch of each row ➔ more or less 135 rows

  • I used Russian Grafting to close the round: very neat seaming with no extra thickness

Undyed part

  • I cast on and seamed as for the Navy part
  • I knitted the ribbing with 4.5 mm needles
  • I didn’t slip last st on right side rows
  • As the ribbing expands less I ribbed 50 cm as per pattern ➔ 122 rows

Navy “knot”

  • I cast on and seamed as usual

  • 18 rows of moss stitch with 4.5mm needles, slipping the last stitch of each row

  • insert undyed headband before seaming

about the yarn

how comes that at Bergere de France no one ever takes time to enter their yarns into Ravelry Data Base ?

I was gifted those two balls and the pattern after a big order.

The yarn is soft and contains a slight glowing thread.
It is machine washable.
Very nice to work with and to wear.

warning

the undyed colorway is way thicker than the night one
