knit swatch 1 in SS 24st x 24r on size 11 needles.
and swatch 2 24st x 30r on size 8 needles

swatch 1 is 18 x 17 cm and 10 x 10 cm is 13st x 16r
swatch 2 is 14 x 13 cm and 10 x 10 cm is 16st x 23r

Both washed 2 hours at 60°C with jeans and all daily laundry…

swatch 1 is now 15 x 13 cm and 10 x 10 cm is 16st x 18r
swatch 2 is now 13 x 11 cm and 10 x 10 cm is 18st x 28r

Swatch 1 has lost 16% length & 23% height
Swatch 2 has lost 7.7% length & 15% height

I prefer the fabric of swatch 2

Dye Hard

Now trying to dye …
I let each swatch boil during 10 mn with safran or hibiscus.
I absolutely hate the result: colors are awful, and fabric also.
New measurements:

swatch 1 is now 14 x 11 cm and 10 x 10 cm is 15st x 18r
swatch 2 is now 12 x 11 cm and 10 x 10 cm is 18st x 28r

I’ m going to machine sew those 2 swatches together and use as a cloth to polish shoes…
