Quite a long time for a project with such a bulky yarn…
It’s because I began with another stashed yarn but I ran out of it before making the sleeves ( who said I should have noticed that before ? ) ;
then I couldnt find some more yarn, nor another with similar weight so I decided to freeze it.
But I definitely wanted to knit my Bari and to wear it this winter…
It took me 3 weeks to achieve it with my bulky yarn, ( not all that time to have all the maths done, please believe me).
I chose to make a larger size (size 38 instead of size 36 I usually choose) because my 1st attempt had been slightly too small.
I find the sweater even prettier with fewer stitches for the central part.
I added a collar for it is supposed to be worn on winter time and I’m rather “frileuse” (chilly).
On the other side there is a mistake I promise myself not to make again ( AND I write it here so that maybe that can prevent you from making the same ):
NEVER pick up stitches to work the sleeves top-down in the round with such a bulky yarn. The sleeves’ weight pulls on the picked up stitches and that makes holes…
