I roughly oriented on the pattern but made it just using my head circumference to make it fit perfectly. I weaved a white satin ribbon trough the second hdc-row. The bow is detachable and made with only 7 hdc-rows and a white sc-border, the bow centre is made with 2 hdc-rows.

I made several broochs to go with the beret and make it suitable for every situation or mood:
