Notes

Going to use two strands, one of Brushed Alpaca Silk and one of Baby Alpaca Silk, the combined weight should be exactly as the required yarn, and the difference in colour should make for interesting nuances.

Cast on in the round… I don’t see why I shouldn’t, the front and back pieces are almost identical.. will split for the neck and shoulders.

Had an accident at one hand and will have to take a long break….

August 14

Finally finished!! Thanks God I don’t have to sew anything outside the hoodie.

It’s incredibly WARM!!! And fluffy!! 5 stars for the yarns!

Everybody loves how deep the nuances are because I’ve combined two different yarns! =)

MODS:

  • The only thing I changed was adding extra stitches to hood, and I think I should have added more… it’s really tiny and not very good-looking… knitters beware when knitting that part!

  • As you can see in pics, it is visible on one side that I’ve joined/twisted the warns, but I think it looks quite nice… better than sewing the two sides, it looks very neat.

  • I think the yardage is slightly off because it was really difficult to calculate how much I’ve used, having mixed two yarns… I have so many leftovers… I probably used less than it appears, but I have to say that:

  • The finished hoodie weights 412 grams, which means it tok a little more than stated in the pattern. I probably used more of the red and white yarn.

  1. You need more than 1 skein (100 mt) of the white yarn for size small

  2. Depending on how long/big you want the hoodie, you might require more of the red (which I did).

  3. I made the body a few cm longer than suggested in the pattern. And the sleeves as well.
