Notes

I played with colours and felting yarn in order to turn it into one of my favourite birds, the red cardinal.

I used three strands (three different nuances) for the main body, and one or two strands of the same colour for the tail and head, trying to reproduce the bird’s natural colour pattern.

It’s difficult to photograph the real shade of red, but the body is brown-ish red, while the head and tail are cardinal red.

I needle felted the beard, crest, and extra long tail. Used two pins for the eyes.
