Notes

I originally decided to make this for a library book bag but I think it may not be big enough. We will see. This yarn has no label but I think it might be Bernat. It’s a jumbo skein in worsted weight and variegated with sage green, light green, cornsilk yellow, and white. It is making a very pretty pattern. I checked my gauge and had to go up to an L sized needle and still my bag is coming out smaller.

Okay, so this is definitely not a book-bag but it is really cute. It ended up being about 8 x 12”. I decided to jazz up the trim a little bit. I went to a size G hook and between every two slip stitches I added a small two chain picot. I worked from the inside of the strap and bag so the back of the trim is what shows. I liked how it looked that way.

Since I’m really in the spirit of spring I made these little crochet flowers to put on my “spring tote”. I made three but when I just had one on in the middle I liked how that looked. I went ahead and added the other two and I have pictures of both. The flowers are easily removed so when I get tired of them they can come off. I don’t know why the flowers look brighter yellow than the yellow in the bag. They are the same color.
