Notes

Using the waffle stitch from Thermal and knitting a pullover contiguously. Knitting the 2 yarns together as one.

I hope I have enough as there is no more sky available! (That sounds sad… we ran out of sky! LOL)

6” in used 41 grams …. 24” body = 160 grams plus sleeves… I should have more than enough:-) I hope!

9 inches in 223 grams left
13 inches in, 169 grams left. (pictures)

BTW, this is so pretty and knits so nicely! Falling in love with alpaca! Silky soft, sproingy…what more could you ask for:-)

Nov. 16th

I am starting to panic about yardage… to easy my mind I have knit up the collar/trim and am doing the sleeves. (Short sleeves done with short rows and a small band of ribbing.) There is no way I am going to get long sleeves out of these cones so short sleeves it will be!

Now I can focus on using the balance for the body and knit it as long as I can. Cross your fingers that I can get 13 or 14 inches!! (15” would be optimal but not likely!)

Nov. 22nd

I did it! I got 15 inches out of the body. Redid my sleeves to accommodate my flapping wings and I am very pleased with how this looks:-)

Might have to do a real placket for the neck line, I saves a few grams of yarn.

More notes to follow...I’ll include a few more details in a few days.

Here’s a start:

Sleeves: Picked up all the stitches, including the extra underarm ones and worked 1 row…
12 German short rows (3 pattern repeats spacing the short rows 4 stitches apart) then 1 row knit all the way around in pattern and next row decrease 4 stitches to 3. (k2, p2t) k2, p2 for 8 rows…bo. Tada:-)

(If I had skinnier wings I would have done another row of decreases to eliminate the purls.. I initially tried that and it was a bit puffier but my arms didn’t like the tightness so I took it out. Some one thinner would want to do the double set of decreases!)

Dec 3rd

Replaced the collar and placket. It looks much better now but needs buttons:-)
